Opportunities for Interdisciplinary Practice

Our program supports interdisciplinary practice. While you will choose an area of emphasis—integrated practices, painting and drawing, printmaking, or sculpture—you are free to explore other forms and use any of our Fine Arts facilities as your work evolves. Supported by expert faculty who are all working artists, you’ll receive guidance across disciplines and training in our shops and labs.

Learn more about each area of emphasis including examples of student work in the sections below.

Pratt Artists’ Liaisons (PAL) is led by two Fine Arts Graduate Assistants (GAs) who represent Fine Arts MFA students. PAL GAs meet weekly with the MFA Assistant Chair to generate ideas, plan events, raise concerns, and help ensure that the MFA student voice is heard.
