Dock 72 includes a large communal critique space with computers, a printer, and a lounge with a kitchen overlooking the East River.

All MFA students are assigned an individual studio for both years of study, which they have access to 24/7.

Light Lab
The Light Lab provides a space to take artwork photography and artist portraits and includes a range of audiovisual equipment available for students to loan.
Equipment includes:
- Nikon Z7II camera and Nikon lenses
- Canon EOS 5D MKIII camera with 24-105 lens
- Sony RX10 MKIII camera
- C-stands, monopods, tripods
- Flash and softbox lights

Graduate Metal Shop

Our 600-square foot Graduate Metal Shop is equipped with the essentials for cutting, grinding, bending, and welding.
Equipment includes:
- Syncrowave TIG welder
- 5’ x 5’ Fixture welding table
- Vertical band saw
- Horizontal band saw
- Disk and Belt grinders
- Drill press
- Hossfeld bender
- Various small tools
Plaster and Mold-making Room
Our plaster and Mold-making Room is the perfect place for working with dusty materials. It contains work tables, slop sinks, and rolling air filters to keep dust and fine particles out of the air.

Graduate Wood Shop

The Graduate Wood Shop covers 1300 square feet and is equipped for an extensive range of woodworking needs.
Equipment includes:
- 3.0 HP Cabinet saw
- 8” Jointer
- 18” Planer
- Band saw
- Compound miter saw
- Combination sander
- Router table
- Drill press
- Lathe
- Steam box
- Wide assortment of small electric tools
