ADE faculty are active practitioners in schools and community organizations, nationally and internationally renowned artists and designers, and published researchers and teachers. Faculty teach, or have taught, art and design in New York City schools and community organizations; are artists and designers who are experts in integrating art and design education with creative practices grounded in contemporary art and design contexts; and are published academics who are versed in, and have conducted research on historical and current ideas, policies, practices, and social movements that shape urban public schooling and art and design education.
