Untitled 001, 2025, acrylic and pen on canvas, 59 x 48 inches

This piece from Forrest Gill-Ehlen’s extracurricular student projects explores architectural ideas in a painterly form, installed above among other works on Pratt’s Brooklyn campus. A stone bridge spans a serene body of water, surrounded by lush greenery. In the background, a tall, ornate building rises above the trees, featuring a distinctive golden-topped spire. The scene captures a tranquil moment in a park setting, with soft lighting illuminating the landscape.

Making the City

For generations, Pratt Institute alumni have played a part in shaping the place where they lived, studied, and created, and that many still call home.
Two silhouetted individuals are positioned in front of a vibrant green screen in a studio setting. One person is adjusting a camera mounted on a tripod, while the other appears to be instructing or assisting. Various softbox and spotlight lighting equipment are set up around the scene, enhancing the studio atmosphere. In the foreground, there's a box and a fan, with additional tripods visible to the side.
