We are excited to announce that the Dean’s Office has selected the Student Advisors to the Dean for the 2026-27 academic year: Eshaan Mehta (BArch ’27) and Miga Higa (MLA ’28). Their term begins on July 1, 2026.
These two students will work with the Pratt SoA Dean’s Office and the SoA Student Council (representing all school student groups) to help facilitate collaboration and communication across departments and to liaise with the Institute’s student affairs infrastructure to support student involvement.
We also extend our deep thanks to the 2025-2026 Student Advisors to the Dean: Samantha Agostinelli (BArch ’26) and Raha Behnam (MLA ’27), for their work on behalf of our school.
The Student Advisor to the Dean title signifies the high level of professionalism, maturity, honesty, and integrity expected of the appointed candidate. The goal is to support and foster our students’ academic and professional leadership and to embody the Institute’s commitments as outlined in the strategic plan.
Please join us in welcoming Eshaan Mehta and Miga Higa, and find more information on both of these student leaders below.

Eshaan Mehta (BArch ’27)
Bachelor of Architecture
Undergraduate Architecture
Eshaan is a fifth-year undergraduate architecture student at Pratt Institute. During his time at Pratt, he has been a Student Representative and a Teaching Assistant, and is the President of Pratt Futures. In these roles, he has focused on uplifting student voices, creating platforms for student connection and dialogue, and building a sense of community within the student body. Outside of Pratt, he is involved with the Landmark Columbus Foundation in Columbus, Indiana, on its Progressive Preservation Committee. He is also a Board Member at the Paul Rudolph Institute for Modern Architecture in Manhattan, where he has curated numerous exhibitions and was the recipient of a 2025 DOCOMOMO US Citation of Merit for “Circle Square Triangle: The Work of Myron Goldfinger.” As a student advisor, he is looking forward to furthering his work as a student leader in building and strengthening culture and community within the School of Architecture.

Miga Higa (MLA ’28)
Master of Landscape Architecture
Graduate Architecture, Landscape Architecture, & Urban Design
Miga is a first-year MLA student and member of the Pratt Institute women’s basketball team. She is excited to serve as a Student Advisor to the Dean and looks forward to applying the values she has developed through athletics — teamwork, communication, and mutual support — to help strengthen connections across the School of Architecture and amplify student voices. Miga holds a B.A. in Integrative Human Biology from the University of California, Berkeley. She pursued landscape architecture to bring together her experiences in healthcare, UX design, and community-focused work, with an interest in designing safe, inclusive spaces shaped by culture and sport. Prior to Pratt, she spent time living in Vietnam, where, while learning the language, she found inspiration in the cultural practice of addressing others as family — fostering a strong sense of belonging and care that continues to inform her approach to design.
