Our undergraduate students learn to design as defined by their selected major within a context of immersive training in the fundamentals of art and design, as well as a general education that links critical inquiry to creative production through study of our cultural and physical environment and the ideas and values that have shaped the world’s societies and creative work.
The School of Design presents students with the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of their selected discipline within the rich context of allied design programs. It provides a fertile environment for peer-to-peer support, collaboration, and interdisciplinary exchanges. Students learn from each other and build long-lasting relationships and friendships. At the same time, the students have access to an extraordinary network of practitioners. Our faculty and administrators are exceptional professionals and scholars whose dedication to the teaching and expanding of our disciplines shape the culture and values of our community of practice
