Career Success

The Career Success office provides lifelong access to career education, exploration, and support for students and alumni, empowering them to develop their potential and contribute as creative practitioners with clarity and confidence. Our vision is for Pratt students and alumni to thrive and flourish throughout their career journeys.

Who We Serve:

Students

We empower students to explore career paths, develop career readiness skills, and connect their education to meaningful internships and employment opportunities. Through appointments with career strategists, employer partnerships, Handshake, and career development resources, we support students from orientation through graduation, and throughout their lives as Pratt alumni. Handshake serves as Pratt’s primary career platform, connecting students with jobs, internships, career events, including workshops and employer information sessions.

Alumni

Alumni have lifelong access to career advising, networking opportunities, resources, Handshake, and job search support as they navigate career transitions and pursue lifelong professional success.

Faculty & Staff

Faculty and staff are essential partners in preparing students for career success. We collaborate across Pratt to integrate career readiness, expand experiential learning opportunities, share resources, and connect students with industry, ensuring equitable access to opportunities.

Employers

Partner with Career Success to recruit Pratt students and alumni. We help employers build customized recruitment strategies through Handshake, career fairs, networking events, information sessions, portfolio reviews, internships, classroom engagement, and experiential learning.

Organizations can also create paid micro-internships and job shadowing opportunities through Parker Dewey. Recruit exceptional creative talent from Pratt’s programs in art, design, architecture, information and data sciences, creative technologies, writing, media studies, and the liberal arts.
