The Arthur O. Eve Higher Education Opportunity Program

Established by the New York State Legislature in 1969, the Arthur O. Eve Higher Education Opportunity Program (HEOP) provides an opportunity for admission and support to talented New York students who have not reached their full academic potential due to barriers in their educational, economic, or personal background.

HEOP at Pratt Institute has been in existence since the program’s inception and serves academically and financially disadvantaged students through an integrated program of support services designed to increase their chances of success. Services include a First-year Summer Program, tutoring, personal and academic counseling, financial aid and a wide range of academic and professional enrichment activities.

HEOP at Pratt Institute and its activities are supported in part by the New York State Education Department and Pratt Institute.
