Information Technology

The Pratt IT Division is comprised of the ten departments listed below. While each of the departments has a distinct set of roles at Pratt Institute, the team members of each department work in a highly cooperative manner.

Core Data Systems

Core Data Systems is responsible for the application level administration of  core systems including Colleague, DocuWare, eForms and Salesforce as well as systems which enhance them including Self Service, onePratt Messenger, and more. 

Core Operations

Core Operations is responsible for campus access and control systems, power and the main Colleague SIS hardware and many of its interconnected systems including the gym, cafeterias, Pay-for-Print system, ID card production systems, parking permits, Terradotta, Business Objects reporting tools, Emergency Alert System, Scholarly Visitor, online food ordering, housing, PrattBucks & meal plans, and off-campus merchant programs. 

Cyber Security 

Cyber Security is responsible for introducing and maintaining processes and policies to protect the Institute from information security threats. Its goal is to implement safeguards and continue to build the overall information security infrastructure to protect Institute assets and information.

Interactive Services

Interactive Services creates and supports the many sites and applications Pratt offers online, such as onePratt, the Pratt Intranet, Policy Portal, Canvas, Talks.Pratt and Pratt Commons. Interactive Services also oversees Pratt TV, which comprises over 60 digital displays throughout the campus, and our 3D touchscreen map kiosks, which provide accessibility wayfinding and location-based information.

Interdisciplinary Technology Lab (ITL)

Interdisciplinary Technology Lab (ITL), is a design development lab that shapes discourse through pedagogical development, case studies, and new forms of knowledge dissemination. These pillars are cumulatively charting a course for new modes of education and practice through the use of tools such as 3D printing, reductive technologies, robotics, data analysis and more.

Instructional Technology

Instructional Technology is responsible for the research, design, integration, and support of AV / IT systems within classrooms, conference rooms, studios, and lecture halls as well as the infrastructure of the Brooklyn computer labs and 2D-Print Center.

IT Budgets and Administration

IT Budgets and Administration is responsible for managing all aspects of the business and administrative operations for the IT Division such as invoicing, purchasing, budget development and contract compliance.

Network and Core Infrastructure

Network and Core Infrastructure is responsible for the implementation, upgrade and maintenance of Pratt’s physical and virtual servers, storage, network infrastructure, desktop and laptop hardware, and telecommunications systems.

Pratt Manhattan Technology Operations

Pratt Manhattan Technology Operations deploys and manages instructional, administrative, and communications technologies throughout the Pratt Manhattan Campus.

Technology Support Services

Technology Support Services is responsible for the direct front-line support of all Pratt Institute constituents, including students, faculty, and  staff across Pratt’s campuses relating to all supported software applications, computers, and infrastructure.
