Spend an afternoon at Pratt Institute like no other.
Our immersive campus visit blends a guided tour of our Brooklyn campus with a hands-on workshop led by a Pratt instructor. You’ll explore the studios, labs, and creative spaces that make Pratt unique—and walk away with a piece of your own work.

Eligibility: 15 – 18 years old

*Cost includes all materials, workshop instruction, and guided campus experience
What to Expect
This half-day experience includes:
- A one-hour guided tour of Pratt’s Brooklyn campus, highlighting student workspaces, labs, and creative hubs.
- A portfolio guidance session with Pratt admissions counselors, offering tips on preparing a strong application.
- A three-hour hands-on workshop led by Pratt faculty
- A finished creation to take home—your first piece of work as a Pratt visitor.

Workshop Options
Choose one of the following workshops during registration. Each workshop is led by a Pratt instructor and offers a glimpse into our studio culture.
Figure Drawing
Explore foundational skills in life drawing—composition, shading, and gesture—guided by a professional artist.
Please note: A nude model will be used.
Embroidery
Learn how to create motifs through textiles including needle types and basic stitches. Leave with a baseball hat embroidered with a motif of your choice.
Risograph Printing
Step inside Pratt’s Reprographics Lab to explore the bold, colorful world of Riso printing. Leave with a vibrant print of your own design.

Who Should Attend?
This event is open to high school students 15-18 years old considering applying to Pratt Institute. Whether you’re interested in fine arts, design, or architecture, you’ll leave with a deeper understanding of what makes Pratt special—and a project that reflects your creativity.
Parents may participate in the campus tour but are not permitted to attend portfolio review or workshops.
