Bachelor of Arts in Critical and Visual Studies

The Critical and Visual Studies program's mission is to prepare students to think critically and act creatively in the cultural world through lively and demanding engagement with cultural objects and institutions. Curricular and co-curricular activities provide students with a critical and historically informed understanding of how culture is made and lived; the ability to develop and integrate written, oral, visual, spatial, and social expression through student-initiated projects; and opportunities to further integrate theory and practice and make links between academic work and the working world through internships in cultural institutions.
