The Brooklyn Museum is kicking off its 200th anniversary with a major group show spotlighting Brooklyn artists. The Brooklyn Artists Exhibition features a number of Pratt alumni, faculty, and staff, including Jazmine Catasús, Lisa Corinne Davis, Alanna Fields, Nancy Grossman, Fay Ku, Yaw Owusu, Jamaal Peterman, Leslie Roberts, Hiba Schahbaz, Jane South (Fine Arts Chair), Monica Srivastava, and Michelle Wen. Artists were selected by a committee led by esteemed artists Jeffrey Gibson, Vik Muniz, Pratt Fine Arts graduate Mickalene Thomas, and Fred Tomaselli.

Assistant Professor of Film and Video Matías Piñeiro’s film, Viola, is recommended by Condé Nast Traveller as the film to watch if you’re going to Argentina. “Beyond the Shakespeare-inspired entanglements that push the plot, the film takes viewers through the breadth of Buenos Aires, tracing the city’s bohemian bones—from its boulevards to its bedrooms.”

Pratt Institute’s Communications and Marketing Creative Services team was awarded the Graphis Silver Award in the 2025 Poster Awards Competition for the Pratt School of Architecture’s “Cohabitations” event series poster. The poster was also voted second place in a competition held by Archinect.
