Sam Peterson, AAS Graphic Design/Illustration ’12; BFA Communications Design ’14, and Nick Fusaro, BFA Fine Arts ’12, of Project Backboard, a nonprofit that restores and beautifies outdoor basketball courts, completed a court renovation with Jason Stopa, MFA Fine Arts ’10, in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The court at Rodney Park North (Rodney St. and S 4th St.) opened on June 23. Also this summer, Project Backboard’s work went on view in GAME! Basketball and Contemporary Art at Great Park Gallery in Irvine, California. Open through July 26, the show also features work by contemporary artists including Kadir Nelson, BFA Communications Design ’96.
