Cassandra Berger, BFA Communications Design (Illustration) ’06, is releasing her debut picture book, The Little Polka Dot, on October 6, 2026. It tells the story of a polka dot as it discovers what makes it unique. Berger instructs character design in Pratt’s Undergraduate Communications Design department, drawing from a career in children’s media that includes work for Nick Jr., Disney Junior, and Sesame Workshop, among other clients.
