Here is a new type of course to help sharpen your visual perception and aesthetic awareness by contemplating art. 


Visual intelligence skills enhance your ability to navigate the world personally and professionally. Guided by a veteran museum educator, engage in close study of artworks to cultivate new ways of seeing for enhanced professional effectiveness, visual literacy and overall creativity. The course includes selected readings, creative exercises as well as the completion and presentation of hands-on visual projects. All levels welcome. No prior art-making experience necessary. 

  1. Deepen your understanding of aesthetics  

  2. Improve observational skills 

  3. Recognize conventions of seeing 

  4. Hone visual analysis skills 

  5. Expand your creativity 

  6. Learn or strengthen your ability to clearly read people and situations 

  7. See the visual world with fresh eyes. 

Applicable for: aspiring and practicing artists, business professionals, educators, designers, lawyers, law enforcement professionals, psychologists, and anyone interested in improving visual intelligence.
