Pratt’s visual identity system reflects our diverse and multifaceted community. The guidelines are built on the concept of flexibility, providing a collection of versatile tools to help you create distinctive yet consistent visual communications that are uniquely Pratt. We’ve included helpful guidance on the use of important identity elements such as the Pratt logo, colors, typefaces, and more. Using the tools in these guidelines, you can create a diverse and accessible range of materials that will be relevant to our many audiences—anchored by the Pratt core brand.
Requesting Identity Resources
To access individual identity elements or other resources listed here, please fill out the Identity Resources Request form below (log in with your OneKey). Creative Services will then contact you with access to the items you requested.
Pratt Logo
The Pratt logo is available in PDF (vector) and PNG (raster) file formats. There are versions of the logo in black (for use on light backgrounds) and white (for use on dark backgrounds). The appropriate amount of logo clear space, defined by the identity guidelines, is built into each file. If you need a different file format, please contact Creative Services for assistance.
Pratt Logo Lockups
Pratt logo lockups consist of department names anchored to the Pratt logo. Each file is built with the appropriate amount of clear space defined by the identity guidelines. There are versions of each lockup in black (for use on light backgrounds) and white (for use on dark backgrounds). The lockups are available in PDF (vector) and PNG (raster) file formats.
Creative Services will individually provide each department with a full set of lockups. To request a specific logo lockup for your department, please contact Creative Services.
Typefaces
Pratt’s brand typefaces are Graphik, Tiempos, and Produkt. To use them in Pratt-related communications, please fill out the Identity Resources Request Form above (log in with your OneKey) and provide your name, department, Pratt email, and intended use of the typefaces (desktop or web). Each individual user will need to complete the form separately. You will then receive access to the font files.
If you are using a Pratt-issued computer, you will also need to contact Information Technology at services@pratt.edu so that the font files themselves can be installed locally.
Do not share font files with others, especially outside the Institute. This is very important as our typeface licensing agreement specifically forbids this.
Colors
Pratt’s primary and secondary brand colors are available as ASE swatch palette files that can be used across Adobe applications. To get started, simply open an Adobe application such as Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign and import the swatch palette files.
Business Cards
Business card orders are handled by Pratt’s Purchasing office. Please contact Linnette Veliz, assistant director of purchasing, at lperez4@pratt.edu or 718.636.3650.
Stationery
Digital stationery is available as Google Docs templates that are customized with department-specific information, such as the department logo lockup, address and location, contact information, and website. To request a digital stationery template, please fill out the Identity Resources Request form above (log in with your OneKey). If you need a different format, please contact Creative Services.
Email Signatures
Pratt’s standard email signature has been updated and is available on the Resources page of onePratt (log in with your OneKey). The signature is automatically generated with your contact information. Simply copy and paste the signature into your email client.
Presentations
Pratt’s presentation template is available as a Google Slides template. To access it, please fill out the Identity Resources Request form above (log in with your OneKey). Remember to duplicate the template before using it. Please contact Creative Services if you need a more customized version of the presentation template.
Posters, Flyers, and Social Media
Pratt’s Design Generator offers customizable poster, flyer, and social media templates that can be produced in a range of different sizes. The Design Generator is available as a freestanding web application that can be accessed at the link below. Please contact Creative Services if you need more specific or customized assets.
