New student orientation is an exciting time at Pratt. Whether you are a first year student, a graduate student on either campus, or a transfer/MWP relocation student, we have a comprehensive program for you. During your orientation, you’ll get tons of valuable information and meet other new students.
Orientation will take place from August 18th (Move in Day) to August 23.

First Year Students
August 19-August 23
Please note that there are mandatory orientation sessions for all first year students, so plan to attend the entire orientation. The orientation will acclimate students to the campus, the academic programs, Brooklyn and New York, as well as provide opportunities to meet fellow new students.
Transfer students
August 19-August 23
Transfer students are invited and welcome at all orientation events. None of the sessions are mandatory, but do provide opportunities to meet other students, learn about Pratt, Brooklyn and NY and also to enjoy orientation activities. There will be specific transfer student sessions throughout the week.
MWP Relocation Students
August 19-August 23
Students coming to Brooklyn from our Utica campus are invited and welcome at all orientation events. None of the sessions are mandatory, but do provide opportunities to learn about the campus, Brooklyn and NY and also to enjoy orientation activities. Sessions specific to our MWP students will be held throughout the week.
Brooklyn Graduate Students
Brooklyn Graduate students will have orientation on the Brooklyn campus. This full day orientation will allow students to meet each other, learn about their academic programs, and navigate the campus. Date coming very soon!
Manhattan Graduate Students
Manhattan Graduate students will have orientations on the Brooklyn and Manhattan campuses, depending on their academic program. This full day orientation will allow students to meet each other, learn about their academic programs, and navigate the campuses. Date coming very soon!

- Log in to www.discord.com
- Go to “Explore Public Servers” icon on the left side
- Under “Discover” select “Student Hubs”
- You will be asked to enter your Pratt email address
- Once you are in, you can search for “Pratt Orientation 23-24” or “Pratt Grad Students”
