Winter Credit Intensive Courses and Schedules
This immersive studio course guides the student through the fundamentals of drawing and painting, emphasizing intention, process, and personal expression. Develop a keen eye for observation and develop a deeper understanding of mark-making, color theory, and composition through hands-on exploration. Experiment with a variety of mediums and formats, including drawing, painting, and mixed media, to expand your artistic vocabulary. Cultivate an unique vision through independent projects and guided critiques accumulating in a strong portfolio. This course is ideal for aspiring artists, art educators, and those seeking to deepen their creative practice.
Master the art of graphic design and become a visual storyteller. This intensive course provides the skills and knowledge to create compelling visuals for print and digital media. Students learn graphic design language, typography, branding, composition, and concept creation using industry-standard tools, such as Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop. Gain practical branding experience by developing a professional portfolio showcasing unique designs for logos, websites, posters, and packaging. Benefit from expert guidance and a dynamic learning environment to launch a career in graphic design, advertising, marketing, or related fields.

Tackle real-world design challenges and learn to create functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces. Master the fundamental elements of design – color, form, light, texture, and space – and learn to apply them through design theory, spatial planning, and material selection. Develop critical thinking and design skills through hands-on studio work and extensive critiques. Engage in dynamic discussions on the history of interior design, contemporary practices, and the relationship between design and society.
