Accessibility at Pratt

Accessibility is a Shared Responsibility

Pratt is committed to equal and effective access for all students, faculty, staff, applicants, alums, and visitors with disabilities. Accessibility is a shared institutional responsibility that includes physical spaces, digital environments, learning and working practices, communications, programs, events, and services.

The Office of Engagement, Culture & Community (ECC) provides Institute-wide leadership, coordination, consultation, and institutional support for accessibility and ADA/Section 504 coordination. The Office works with responsible offices and campus partners to identify barriers, clarify responsibilities, strengthen institutional practice and policies, and help connect community members with the office that can address their needs.

The ECC does not replace the offices that provide individual accommodations, maintain facilities, manage technology, or operate specific programs. Its role is to help Pratt approach access as part of institutional design, coordinate across functions, and make pathways to support easier to use, understand, participate in, and influence within institutional spaces and processes.

Find the Right Accessibility Service

Reasonable accommodations will be provided for individuals with disabilities, including chronic illness. Accommodation requests may be submitted in advance of any appointment, class, or program to allow sufficient time to arrange any necessary modifications and ensure activities are accessible. Choose the pathway that best matches your needs. If you are unsure where to begin, contact ADA/Section 504 coordination for help identifying the appropriate office.
