Additional Benefits

The following additional benefits are available to all regular Pratt employees.

COMMUTER BENEFITS

Ample on-campus (Brooklyn) parking is available to employees at a nominal annual fee. Currently, the annual parking fee is $225. Parking permits are available through the Security Office. Commuter Benefit Plans allows employees to save on public transportation expenses by making pre-tax contributions into an account, up to a maximum of $260 per month, that can then be used for commuting expenses. You may also elect to go over the pre-tax maximum as a post-tax deduction.

DEPENDENT CARE FLEXIBLE SPENDING ACCOUNTS (DCFSA)

Eligible employees may save on dependent care (e.g. childcare) expenses by making pre-tax contributions into an account that can then be used for such expenses, up to an annual maximum of $5,000.

ACADEMIC FEDERAL CREDIT UNION

Pratt employees may take advantage of banking services provided through the Academic Federal Credit Union (AFCU).

PRATT ATHLETIC RESOURCE CENTER (ARC)

Pratt employees may use the ARC located on the Brooklyn campus free of charge. The ARC is open seven days per week, excluding holidays, and features a 325′ x 130′ athletic space, 2142′ sq dance studio, four-lane 200 meter indoor track, regulation basketball court, four indoor tennis courts, full locker rooms with saunas, and a full weight and cardio fitness training center. GROUP SAVINGS

Various discounts are available to Pratt employees on automobile, homeowner’s, co-op/condo, and renter’s insurance, and life insurance, etc.

MUSEUM MEMBERSHIP

Faculty and students are eligible for free admission to the Brooklyn Museum, the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens, the Cooper Hewitt, the Frick Collection, the Museum of Arts and Design (MAD), and the Whitney Museum of American Art.
