Zachary Whitehurst
Assistant Chairperson; Visiting Instructor
Biography
Zach is originally from Ohio where he received his BFA in 2003. After receiving his MFA from Tyler School of Art in 2008, he moved to Brooklyn with his wife where he still lives and maintains a studio practice as a visual artist. He has worked at Pratt since 2009 first as a 3D Technician for the Associate Degree Department (working out of the Foundations Woodshop) and currently as the Assistant Chairperson for the department. Zach has also assisted the department with curation and installation of student artwork and shows, state curriculum reviews and the newest curriculum revisions. He is involved with Pratt’s Cuba Initiative and has traveled there to donate art supplies to students in Havana.
