Xue Bai is a sustainability strategist and Associate Professor at Pratt Institute, where she teaches in the Creative Enterprise Leadership graduate programs in Design Management and Arts and Cultural Management—globally recognized for cultivating changemakers to lead at the intersection of sustainability, business, design, and culture.

Bringing a distinctive blend of professional financial expertise and creative pedagogy, Xue integrates climate risk, sustainability accounting and reporting, and designing life-centered innovation and regenerative economies into curricula tailored for artists, designers, and creative professionals. Her teaching bridges disciplines by translating complex financial tools and sustainability frameworks into accessible, actionable strategies, empowering creative leaders to practice systems thinking, ethical inquiry, and life-centered innovation.

Xue is an EFFAS Certified ESG Analyst®, Sustainability and Climate Risk (SCR®) Certified Professional, and holds multiple credentials in sustainable finance. She is an active member of the Impact & Sustainable Finance Faculty Consortium, B Academics, and the World Economic Forum’s Global Shaper Program, and serves on the Advisory Board of the Association for Managers of Innovation (AMI). Xue is a co-author of Leading As If Life Matters: An Invitation to Attend a Future of Our Own Making and a published author with the United Nations.
