Biography
TLaloC (A.K.A. Eduardo Corral) is an award-winning illustrator, interdisciplinary artist, graphic designer, and educator born in the industrial city of Monterrey, Mexico. His work is the result of a playful exploration of art, illustration, graphic design, product design, and architecture, often investigating human behavior through themes such as fascination with the unknown, obsolescence, collective memory, nostalgia, urban decay, and the creation of nonexistent languages. He designed the Trophy Award for the first-ever SPOTIFY Awards (2020) and has received gold, silver, and bronze awards at the Latin American Design Awards (LAD Awards 2019, 2020, and 2023). He was a selected winner for the Society of Illustrators 62, 63, and 64 UNCOMMISSIONED SHOW (exhibit and book) and a “Chosen Winner” for American Illustration AI-AP 37, 38, 39, 40, and 44 as well as Latin American Illustration (LAI-LAP) 2 through 8. He has served as a judge for the UNCOMMISSIONED category at the Society of Illustrators 67 (2024), was part of the Portfolio Jury for The Club for Creativity’s 2018 Young Ones Student Awards, and participated in the first generation of PICTOPLASMA Academy Mexico.
