Sophia Sobers is an interdisciplinary artist specializing in installations and site specific work with a recent emphasis on incorporating soft sculptures and ambient soundscapes influenced by forms found in nature and industry.

Sobers has created public art projects for Alloy Pittsburgh (Rankin, PA), I-195 Redevelopment Commission (Providence, RI), and Cherry Blossoms in Winter (Newark, NJ) and has had solo exhibitions at On Canal (NYC), University of Pittsburgh Art Galleries, AS220 Reading Room (Providence, RI), and Find & Form Space (Boston). Sobers has created sound performances at the Knockdown Center (Maspeth, NY) and the Rubin Museum (NYC) and has been honored to receive numerous commissions and grants, including the Puffin Foundation Grant. Her work has been written about in SciArt Center, E-Squared Magazine, Blouin Artinfo, and the Creators Project.
