Renae Calderon Ramirez is the Program Manager at The Center for Interdisciplinary Studies (TCIS) in The Office of the Provost. Renae has worked in the Interdisciplinary Studies area since 2019, assuming her current role at TCIS at its inception in 2022. She directly supports students and faculty through the Pratt Integrative Courses, Customized Minor, Independent Study, and various interdisciplinary-based initiatives and public programming.

Recently, Renae has worked on Institute-level projects, as the project manager of Pratt’s 2024 self-study for the Middle States Commission on Higher Education re-accreditation, and currently, as the project manager for the 2025 Association of Independent Colleges of Art and Design Symposium. In addition, she supports the Public Programs’ team as the Special Consultant for Events and Conferences, and serves on the Pratt Staff Council and the Graduate Student Engagement Fund Review Committee.

Renae has activated her own work as the ART/imposter/IST, her performance-based persona, appearing at Dixon Place, Abrons Art Center, and Movement Research at the Judson Church. She is a member of the performance troupe Lex and The Cult of Spirits and regularly performs with the collective at venues in Manhattan and Queens including: Theater for the New City, Museum of the Moving Image, Museum of Reclaimed Urban Space, Madame X, and Liminal Space.

As a Midwestern transplant, she credits all her accomplishments–career and creative–to her cattle farming background.
