Pierre Alexandre de Looz is a writer and architect, and Adjunct Associate Professor in Humanities and Media Studies at Pratt. His courses engage critical discourse, creative writing, literature and design practice. He has taught in the School of Architecture, Graduate Industrial Design and in the Core Humanities Program. He is co-founder of PIN-UP and has served as the magazine’s Editor-at-Large since 2006. He has written on art, design, and fashion for numerous other publications and helped start stylist Marie-Amelie Sauve’s Mastermind and independent fashion magazine, Document Journal. In addition to teaching at Pratt, Prof. de Looz leads thesis in Design Research, Writing and Criticism at SVA and Directed Research at SVA Products of Design.
