Marcela Albuquerque

Brazilian, born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Marcela has a BFA degree in Graphic Design. While she was still in college, Marcela won her first prize award among young designers (aged 40 and below) at the Macef Design Awards in Italy. This accomplishment was followed by an IF Design Award in Germany and four more design awards in Brazil.

In New York, Marcela worked as a Visual Designer at Verbal + Visual web agency and as a Graphic and Visual Designer at Kiss Me I’m Polish. More recently, she completed the Intensive Type Design Design course in Paris, where she designed a custom typeface for feminist posters.

Marcela is passionate about meditation and colors. She is always eager to humbly learn, collaborate and she is a self-doer.
