Visiting Assistant Professor
Jess Shane is an artist and documentarian from Tkaronto. Her work has played at film and audio festivals internationally including DOCNYC, Third Coast, New Orleans Film Festival, Open City Documentary Festival, and the International Features Conference, and she has worked as a producer on podcasts for the MoMA, TED, NBC, Radiotopia, the CBC, and the BBC. Her independent podcast and collective, Constellations, is a home for sound art from makers internationally and has been spotlighted in The New York Times, Indiewire, and beyond. In 2023, Jess was awarded a reporting grant from the International Women’s Media Fund for her documentary series Shocking, Heartbreaking, Transformative, with Radiotopia Presents.
