Grant Elliott is the Founder and CEO of Ostendio, Inc. Before founding Ostendio, Mr. Elliott was the Chief Operations Officer and Chief Information Security Officer at Voxiva, a leading US-based mobile health provider. He was responsible for building the groundbreaking Text4baby and Text2quit mobile solutions, leading the organization through multiple ISO 27002 security audits and its first HIPAA audit based on the OCR HIPAA Audit Protocols. Prior to Voxiva, Mr Elliott worked for AT&T, Concert Communications and British Telecom.
Mr. Elliott has a strong domain expertise in communications, health IT and Mobile Health and is a subject matter specialist in Information Security and Regulatory compliance with a specific focus on FDA Mobile medical applications and HIPAA/HITECH compliance. As a contributing member of the mHealth Regulatory and Clinical Decision Support Coalitions, Mr. Elliott writes regularly on these topics and provides general thought leadership and guidance on the role of government regulation in the health technology space.
Additionally, Mr. Elliott is an Adjunct Professor at the Pratt Institute in New York where he teaches leadership, business management and entrepreneurial skills to post-graduate students looking to become the business leaders and innovators of tomorrow. Mr Elliott is also a mentor for the AccelerateDC Venture Mentoring Service offering expert advice, guidance, and connections to start-up businesses in the DC Metro area.
Originally from Scotland but now living in Northern Virginia with his wife and 3 children, Mr. Elliott is an avid, if average, runner and an enthusiastic soccer player, supporter and coach.
