Chris Wright

Chris Wright received his BFA from Pacific Northwest College of Art and his MFA from Pratt Institute. He is the recipient of a Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant, a MacDowell Fellowship, and a New York Foundation for the Arts Fellowship in Painting.

Wright has had solo exhibitions at George Billis Gallery in New York and Los Angeles, Martin Art Gallery at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania, the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge in Queens, New York, and the Mono Inn in Lee Vining, California. His work has been included in exhibitions at the Woodstock Artists Association & Museum, Affordable Art Fair in New York City, California State University Fullerton, the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and New York University, among others.

His work has been featured in New American Paintings, American Art Collector, and New York Spaces. His work is included in the Pierogi Flat Files in Brooklyn, New York.

Wright has taught at Pratt Institute, the Pratt in Venice Summer Program, Montserrat College of Art, the New York Academy of Art, and the 92nd Street Y, among others. He lives and works in the Bronx, New York.
