Caitlin Craggs (b 1987) is an NYC-based animator and multidisciplinary artist. She directs “bona fide weird” animation for documentaries, TV and music videos. Her work has been supported by the Sundance Institute, the Princess Grace Foundation, SPACE at Ryder Farms, NARS Foundation and the New York Film Festival Artist Academy. Her films have screened in festivals worldwide including Rotterdam, Slamdance (Grand Jury Prize for Best Experimental Short 2018), Images (York University Prize for Best Student Work on Screen 2018) and BAM Cinemafest. Her work has been featured in the New York Times, The Atlantic, Cartoon Brew, Mold and Vimeo. In addition to making movies, Caitlin is  is an avid gardener who occasionally uses ladybugs as animation assistants.

A passion for ecology and the natural world runs through Caitlin’s work. Most recently she created animation for a documentary about the diversity of sexual behaviors in the animal kingdom. She is also developing an adult animated sitcom about bees in their thirties.
