Biography
Alice Colverd RA, is an educator and a licensed architect, registered to practice in New York and California, and is the founder of Colverd Studio based in Queens, New York.
Her practice seeks to make buildings and spaces that support and enrich the environments in which they are constructed and the lives of the individuals and communities they serve. Colverd Studio specializes in collaborating with non-profit and cultural institutions such as UnionDocs and the Center for Book Arts.
Prior to establishing her practice she gained a variety international experience working on civic and cultural buildings at 6a Architects in London, SANAA in Tokyo and Diller Scofidio + Renfro in New York.
Colverd has previously taught as a Visiting Lecturer and Critic at The Cooper Union. She is a graduate of the Cooper Union Irwin S. Chanin School of Architecture and Cambridge University in the UK.
