Professor in the Graduate Center for Planning and the Environment (GCPE) Harriet Harriss has been invited to share some of her research on how architecture reproduces inequalities in death—through the spaces in which people are buried, remembered, forgotten, maintained, or displaced—at the Cemetery Research Group workshop, The Everyday Heritage and Afterlives of Asylum Burial Grounds, hosted by King’s College London. The workshop brings together scholars, community historians, thanatologists, policymakers, and heritage activists to rethink asylum burial grounds, their memorialization, and their contested afterlives.
