Rodney Leon, BArch ’92, was tapped to join sculptor Branly Cadet to design a statue of “Chicago’s first permanent non-Native settler Jean Baptiste Point DuSable to be unveiled at the forthcoming opening of the DuSable Park.” Leon will “advise on the interpretive writing and symbolic elements, lighting, and siting as well as coordinate on the technical aspects of the sculpture’s support, design, base fabrication, and installation.”
