A Space for the Pratt Community
The Common Ground is a shared, multipurpose community space open to all Pratt students, faculty, and staff. Whether you need a place to study, meet with a group, host or attend a program, connect with friends, or recharge between classes, you are welcome here.
The Office of Student Involvement and the Office of Engagement, Culture & Community (ECC) co-manage the Common Ground. The Common Ground brings people together through shared experiences, campus involvement, and meaningful connection.
The space hosts affinity groups, student organizations, educational programs, cultural events, dialogue, collaborative projects, and informal community use. Scheduled programs and reservations may affect drop-in availability.
The Common Ground supports:

- Cultural events, programs, and celebrations
- Dialogue and community conversations
- Educational programs, trainings, and workshops
- Leadership development and collaborative projects
- Campus-wide engagement opportunities
- Independent study and Informal gatherings
Plan a Meeting or Program
The Common Ground may be reserved for approved meetings, programs, workshops, and community events. Review the reservation guidance before submitting a request.
Common Ground student staff may provide general space information and connect visitors with relevant campus resources during staffed hours. Add staff responsibilities, service boundaries, and the appropriate contact for reservation or access questions.
Location: Main Building, Lower Level, Room 004
Hours: Open Monday through Friday, 9 AM- 11 PM
