Want To Get Involved?

The Center K-12 offers undergraduate and graduate students from all majors opportunities to share their knowledge and expertise with school-age children in our on-campus and off-campus programs. Whether it is taking a course for credit, a paid fellowship, or a work-study position, the Center K-12 helps connect students to the school-age community.

On-Campus Opportunities

Courses And Internships – Fall And Spring
Fellowships*

The Center K-12 supports a number of paid Fellowships in the on-campus programs. The fellows assist faculty in their Saturday Art School and DICE classes. While all Pratt students are welcome to apply, students with recommendation from the relevant Center K-12 faculty will be given priority. Information on available fellowships can be found on the Student Employment website.

Work-Study Positions*

The Center K-12 hires students for general administrative work in our offices and some direct service to children and families attending the Saturday Art School and DICE programs. Additional Information on the responsibilities of the role and how to apply can be found on the Student Employment website.

*Fellowships and work-study positions are funded by FWS Community Service. Community Services are defined as services intended to improve the quality of life for community residents, particularly low-income residents, or to solve particular problems related to their needs. FWS Fellows and work-study students work with school-age children, city-wide public schools, and youth-serving organizations in such fields as education, literacy, community development, or social justice.
