Ting-Chen (Melody) Lin, Agong’s Summer in Taipei, 2026
My collection begins with my memories of Taipei in the summertime, where humidity softens the air, routines repeat with quiet rhythm, and everyday objects carry the traces of my family’s life. The silhouettes are informed by architectural forms that quietly frame my daily life in Taipei, alongside garments once worn by my family. Through trompe-l’œil prints, I translate these memories and objects into garments, allowing them to exist simultaneously as image, texture, and lived experience on the body. Reflecting the blurriness of memory, objects appear repeatedly and exist in an ambiguous state. Ultimately, this collection holds personal memory in wearable form.
