Stella Minkyung Kim, In Rotation, 2026

My thesis collection is inspired by a styling game process I share with two close friends. Before each trip, we use a random ladder game to choose one another’s outfits. Through this ritual, clothing becomes a way to carry someone else’s choice, intention, and memory on the body. The collection explores how choice, exchange, and shared experience shape identity through garments. I translate this process into rotating garment structures, layered silhouettes, and modular combinations. Halftone prints of travel memories and reflective materials suggest shifting identities and overlapping moments. Through styling one another, fragments of each person’s identity are carried and shared through clothing.
