Simple Pleasures, Lizz Snyder 2026
Each stitch, a declaration of intention and patience. Honoring the ways in which craft slows time, anchoring life in quiet meaningful moments.
In the Hungarian style of written irásos, this style of embroidery has a rich history dating back hundreds of years. In reference to traditional motifs and written patterns by Sinko Kallo Katallin from her written irásos book Kalotaszegi Nagyírásos, featured are a blend of cotton threads from Tatter textiles and vintage metallic threads from Belguim.
Embroidery is a form of resistance to our fast pace world. Slow stitching and trusting the process represents a peaceful rebellion against urgency. It invites us to stay long enough to appreciate the labor of love sealed in every stitch. Beyond surface design and decoration is an emotional map, a meditation, and a symbol of peace.
Reimagined, the language of living consciously, with every push of the needle comes a visual trust of time in thread. A gesture that allows appreciation to the process itself. In a world obsessed with outcomes and speed, embroidery is built in the pursuit of present moments.
