School of Information at The Village West
Rooted in a shared commitment to creativity, civic engagement, and the power of public space, the “Pratt Institute x TheVillage West: Windows on 14th Street” installation brings student work beyond the classroom and gallery walls and into the everyday rhythm of one of New York City’s busiest pedestrian corridors, connecting neighborhoods from Union Square to the Meatpacking District through the power of a creative education, art, design, and culture.
We reimagine information and technology to design more equitable, resilient and diverse futures. Across four core programs, we explore everything from algorithms to archives with the goal of improving lives and culture through information. We are a graduate school with Masters programs in Library and Information Science, Information Experience Design, Data Analytics and Visualization, and Museums and Digital Culture. Our graduates go onto successful careers as archivists, librarians, UX designers and researchers, data visualization analysts, and museum professionals.
