My Inspiration by Breakfast in My Hometown of Shandong is rooted in memories of morning markets and the everyday rituals that carry cultural meaning. The collection centers on Lu brocade, a traditional handwoven textile, reworked through reconstruction and material experimentation to bridge traditional culture with a contemporary design language. By combining techniques such as hand smocking, silkscreen, and draping, the garments are designed for versatility—each piece can be worn in multiple ways, adapting to different bodies and contexts. Structured forms and tactile surfaces reflect both the strength of traditional craftsmanship and a modern, youthful attitude. The work focuses on preserving cultural identity while transforming it into something relevant today—one in which heritage and new ways of living coexist, and clothing becomes both functional and expressive.
