On behalf of the Pratt Institute’s Department of Public Safety, I’d like to thank you for taking time to visit the Department’s home page. From the Public Safety home page you will be able to navigate to essential Pratt Public Safety Information concerning personal safety, security, crime prevention and fire safety tips, parking information, campus emergency alerts, and much more. Our Department is committed to maintaining and fostering a student-centered, learning-focused campus, in both Brooklyn and Manhattan, where students from all backgrounds can feel welcome and supported; as well as the protection of personal property, equipment, and facilities.
The members of the Pratt Public Safety team are highly trained public safety professionals, responsible for ensuring best practices are followed in the areas of campus safety, security, and emergency management. The members of our Department are on-duty 24/7 to provide public safety services, as well as piece of mind, to the Pratt Institute. As a campus community, I would ask each of you to partner with our department, as it is the responsibility of all students, faculty, and staff, to collaborate with Pratt Public Safety to ensure a safe, secure and crime free campus. Should you encounter an unsafe situation, witness an accident or crime, or observe suspicious activity, I would request you promptly report the matter to our department, so that we may investigate the situation and respond accordingly.
