SEARCHES FOR TWO KEY VICE PRESIDENTS ANNOUNCED AT PRATT

Resource

February 1, 2021

Dear Pratt Community,

I am pleased to announce that the Institute will begin two crucial cabinet-level searches during the spring 2021 semester, for the Vice President for Enrollment Management and for the Vice President for Student Affairs. As both positions carry significant responsibilities and have enormous shoes to fill, we have put substantial time and planning into how these searches will be managed and completed.

The search for the Vice President for Enrollment Management will be chaired by Pratt’s Vice President for Information Technology Joseph Hemway. We have selected Napier Executive Search to assist us, led by the firm’s principal Mary Napier. Napier Executive Search is a national firm that has specialized in higher education admissions and enrollment recruitment since 2014.

The search for the Vice President for Student Affairs will be chaired by Pratt’s Associate Provost Donna Heiland with the assistance of WittKieffer, a search firm with 50 years of national success in matching diverse student affairs professionals with higher education institutions, and led the search that brought Vice President Nsombi B. Ricketts to Pratt. WittKieffer consultant Sheila Murphy, who knows Pratt well, will lead the search.

The two searches will occur concurrently, with each firm engaging in recruitment efforts through March, concluding interviews by May, and announcing finalists by the end of the spring semester.

Faculty and staff members will serve on both search committees, with the addition of student representatives on the search for the Vice President for Student Affairs. The chairs and members of the faculty on each committee are recommended by the Faculty Senate. There will be opportunities for members of the campus community to meet the finalists and offer feedback to the search committees. More information about participation will be provided when the members of the search committees are announced.

I am grateful to those who have already committed to leading these efforts and ask that each of you seizes the opportunity to participate in the process of filling these crucial leadership positions for the future of Pratt and for our students.

Sincerely,

Frances Bronet Signature
