Raina believes that when creative thinking and diverse fields of study come together, we have the power to make a lasting positive impact.

As an educator and professional designer, Raina aims to utilize her skillset to make complicated subject matter clear and accessible. She is passionate about using graphic design, storytelling, and systems-thinking approaches to communicate complexities and to help people access and understand important services.

Her personal work and research centers on visual culture and pandemic disease, particularly graphic design as a public health tool, countering stigmatization, and promoting actions relating to community care and health activism.

Columbia University — Masters in Health Communications, Infectious Disease, and Sociomedical Sciences

Rhode Island School of Design — BFA in Graphic Design with a concentration in Scientific Inquiry
