I joined the Master of Landscape Architecture Program at Pratt in its inaugural year to advance studio, cartography, and fieldwork courses. I am dedicated to landscape methods as a way to articulate the relationship between disciplines using landscape as a medium. I infuse my classes with first hand engagement, a work that implies the constant redefinition of landscape and the lexicon we use to describe and understand it. My research confronts the spatial heritage of resource based, colonized land across Latin America and explores non-city sites as important areas of inquiry. I obtained a Professional Degree in Architecture from Universidad Iberoamericana and I hold a Master in Landscape Architecture and a Master in Design Studies (Risk & Resilience) from the Harvard Graduate School of Design. I am a registered architect in Mexico and prior to joining Pratt Institute, I was a lecturer at McGill University.
