Johna Shi is a Visiting Assistant Professor in the School of Information at Pratt Institute, where he teaches INFO 643: Information Architecture & Interaction Design. Outside of academia, he works as a Sr. Product Designer at JPMorgan Chase, where he focuses on creating digital experiences for commercial banking, with an emphasis on user-centered design and digital accessibility.

Johna began his career in the fashion industry before transitioning into digital experience design, a path that continues to shape his perspective on creativity, problem-solving, and systems thinking. This background allows him to bring a unique lens to his teaching and design practice, blending an eye for craft with a deep commitment to usability and inclusivity.

In addition to his professional design work, Johna is passionate about creative coaching, supporting creatives discover their unique voice, cultivate authenticity, and build confidence in their craft.
