Interim Head of Library Collection Management
Johanna Bauman is the Head of Digital and Special Collections at the Pratt Institute Libraries where she oversees the operation and maintenance of Pratt’s extensive Special Collections, Digital Collections, and Archives. She began working in libraries while pursuing a Ph.D. in Art History from the University of Virginia, where she specialized in medieval and Renaissance garden history. Before coming to Pratt, she worked as the Visual Resources Curator at the Bard Graduate Center for Studies in the Decorative Arts, Design, and Culture and the Senior Production Manager at Artstor, an image resource for educational and scholarly use.
