Jessie Maimone

Jessie Mae Maimone is an Assistant Professor for the School of Information at Pratt Institute. Her research focuses on Black teens more broadly and the ways race effect their experiences in public libraries, more specifically. She is interested in critical frameworks for teen librarianship, the ways we teach future librarians work with all youth, and teen related collection development. In addition to her research, Jessie is a reviewer for The Bulletin of the Center for Children’s Books, a book review journal for school and public librarians.
