Jacqueline Lamont

Jacqueline Lamont is a fashion designer and educator with more than 20 years of professional experience in the fashion industry, specializing in apparel design and millinery. She studied millinery under French milliner Janine Galiamard, who created hats for Balenciaga.

Her work has received national and international recognition, appearing in numerous fashion and lifestyle publications, including Vogue, Elle, Essence, W, and The New York Times, as well as publications throughout Asia and the Caribbean. Her designs have also been featured on television and exhibited at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Her work was highlighted in the Philadelphia Museum of Art exhibition Ahead of Fashion: Hats of the 20th Century.

Lamont’s designs have been sold in high-end specialty stores and boutiques across the United States. She has created private-label collections for Burberry, J.Crew, and other leading retailers, and her work has been worn by numerous artists and public figures, including Alicia Keys, Angela Bassett, Gwen Stefani, Janet Jackson, Mary J. Blige, and Rihanna.

In addition to her work in fashion and millinery, Lamont has extensive experience working in wardrobe on Broadway, contributing to productions including The Rocky Horror Show, Merrily We Roll Along, Caroline, or Change, and Sunset Boulevard.
