Biography
Hannah Berkin-Harper is an industrial designer working in public space and active design. She is the Design Lead at Street Lab, a non-profit bringing pop-up programming and placemaking to the streets of New York City.
Her previous positions have been as Senior Designer at Karim Rashid’s studio working on furniture, tableware, consumer products, and interiors for clients all over the world. She also previously ran her own studio, HBH Design, focusing on projects involving environmental sustainability and public space, working with both private clients and non-profits.
Her courses focus on design process, research, prototyping methods and community-centered design. Her research interests include participatory design methodologies, active design and environmental sustainability.
